Doubt that's the problem as you have a green icon in status bar.. Have you tried another bittorrent client with the same settings? I'm running out of ideas.. Sorry, something went wrong. Thank you for your reply, I try to be as detailed as possible when it comes to providing information about a problem.
I actually have done the port forwarding before as well as the static IP, I use Plex and I use it with a "Remote Server" as well on a different port that's Plex dedicated. I don't know what they do either so I didn't know what to do with the option now that I know it exists.
This is my log and INI file. I just want to update my torrent seeds, It keeps going up but Qbittorrent does not download or upload. On a test, I restarted my computer and when Qbittorrent started my downloads started but then stopped again.
Sorry didn't see the log on first post, i don't see something strange in it. Other than that try disabling temporarily kaspersky and malware bytes to see if they're at fault.
I'm afraid i don't know what else to try. If you see your torrent not connecting to peers, this might be the case. A proven workaround here is to use a VPN virtual private network. You can bypass any geo-restrictions by routing your traffic through any of the dozens of servers available worldwide, from the US to Austria, and change your mind just as easily. As you can see, torrents not downloading can be a problem, but with a methodical approach, you can get those files on your Mac in no time.
Simply turn off the firewall and scan your Mac for viruses with CleanMyMac X, remove download limits on your torrent client, try using a high-quality torrent client like Folx to search for other torrent files, and route your traffic around your network restrictions with ClearVPN. The other upload slots upload to the first peers that come along and change peers less often.
So any peers the seed has not uploaded to in seconds gets automatically disconnected. This is the theoretical max usable peers for a seeding torrent limited to 1 upload slot, which is surprisingly low Even if it was a bit technical for me, I started to understand some of the mechanics behind the problem and I found another post further down that shed some light on the issue:. This is why I recommend lowering bt.

Overseeded torrent. Although comcast may be interfering. Thanks again for the help Edit: I don't know if this helps, but in the log when I look for disconnects I mostly see these: Disconnect: Not downloading Disconnect: Is Seed Disconnect: No such torrent: Long Alphanumeric thing here, hash value i think Disconnect: Peer error: offline timed out Disconnect: Connection closed.
Posted April 5, CZorn Posted May 1, To expand on blocking torrent traffic, traditionally it is very hard because many traffic are encrypted so packet detection algorithms do not work well. The only reliable method is to block by default all ports other than 43 and 80 for normal web traffic but this still does not stop someone from using torrent over port 43 and 80 and has other undesirable consequences.
So I think the problem is unlikely that it is your internet connection. Be careful playing with the firewall rules if you don't understand exactly what each one is doing and what the associated ports are assigned to. Otherwise you are likely to open your router, and possibly your network, to every hacker who happens to drop by.
